SGPC Amritsar president to inaugurate SKS Gurmat Vidyalya at Marh today

JAMMU, Dec 8: President, Shiromani Gurudwara Parbhandak Committee (SGPC) Amritsar, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami along with Rajinder Singh Mehta (general secretary) will inaugurate Sant Khushal Singh (SKS) Gurmat Vidyalya & Khoj Kendra (Educational Research Centre) at Marh Bagh, here tomorrow.

This was disclosed today by JP Singh (Retired IPS) along with Manjit Singh, Balvinder Singh (vice president, DGPC Jammu), T P Singh, Rajinder Singh Sudan, Janak Singh and Jatinder Singh while addressing a press conference, here.
They informed that the Gurmat Vidyalya (Centre) has been constructed with the hostel facilities in a big chunk of land with wonderful surroundings of natural habitat. “The Gurmat Vidyalya & Educational Research Centre aims to provide free CBSE education along with religious studies, especially the knowledge of Sri Guru Granth Sahib, to underprivileged children in 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grades in the school run and managed by Sant Puta Danna Charitable Trust at Domana,” they added.
JP Singh revealed that the aim of the Research Centre is to produce eminent scholars and researchers of Sikh ideology which focuses on humanity and oneness of mankind. He said the knowledge and study will be provided to the students by learned parcharaks, historians, and renowned religious personalities. The event signifies a significant step towards empowering young minds with quality education and spiritual guidance, he asserted.
Balvinder Singh on part of SGSD charitable trust urged upon civil society of J&K and community members to attend the inaugural ceremony on 9th December from 11.30 AM to 3 PM to make the event a grand success and to witness the event where Gurmat Centre will be dedicated to the community.
