‘Shaan-e-Awadh’ at Fortune Inn Riviera from today

JAMMU, July 25: Fortune Inn Riviera, is hosting a royal fare-Awadhi Food Festival from tomorrow to August 5 for residents of the city to have their fill.
Named “Shaan-e-Awadh”, the fest promises to tickle the taste buds with a spread of mouth-watering delicacies like Badami Shorba, Dum Ka Murgh, Dum ki Deg (biryani), Lucknawi gouloti kebab, Murgh Parcha, Murg Handi Lazeez, Nihari, Dum ka Saag, Baoli Handi, Gil-e-Firdaus apart from other Awadhi dishes.
“Everybody wants to eat dishes that were prepared for the royals, this will be their chance to try the rich delicacies.
Awadhi food festival aims at giving royal feeling to the residents here. We have flown down Master Chef Nawab Zulfiqar Ali Alwa into the city to provide you with the authentic taste of the Awadhi cuisine” said Rakesh Dogra, General Manager of Fortune Inn Riviera.
He said that, Chef Nawab Zulfqar Ali Alwa has 25 years of culinary experience in the royal kitchens of the Hyderabad. He is a Master Chef of the Grand cuisines like Awadhi, Mughlai and Hyderabadi with Fortune hotels. He spent many years in the royal kitchens of the Nizam of Hyderabad under the expert guidance of Ustad Hanees Mohammed. Later Chef Nawab was instrumental in the success of few of the finest kitchens of India like Kandhar, Delhi ka Aangan and ITC’s Bukhara.
With an array of Starters, live counter, main courses and desserts on the buffet, people of the city cannot ask for more. Prepared indum pukht style (food placed in large pots called handi and cooked over low heat), the Master Chef Nawab promises the dishes would be rich in taste, softness and aroma.
“The Awadhi food is known for its lazzat (taste), nazakat (softness) and mushq (aroma). We have not compromised on the taste, we have developed the cooking pattern to make it healthier for people”, said Master Chef Nawab Alwa.
