Shabir asks officers to solve people’s problems on priority

JAMMU, Nov 12: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan today kick started the construction work of deep bore well of water supply scheme Jopate in border block Dongi, Rajouri.
The construction work on this bore well would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.46 crore. The bore well after completion would provide safe drinking water supply to over 4000 souls of border villages Sasalkot, Kari, Khanti Dara, Dongi and Mayala.
Addressing a public gathering on the occasion, the Minister reiterated the commitment of the Government to ensure holistic development of all the regions of the State with special focus on far off and back ward areas. He said that Government’s pro-people policies and exemplary initiatives have marched the State on the track of peace and prosperity. He affirmed that this rhythm would be carried onward with a mission to ensure all-round development of the rural as well as hilly areas in the State.
The Minister assured the people that all their genuine developmental needs would be carried out in phased manner. He also impressed upon the officers to solve the people’s genuine problems and developmental needs on priority.
Shabir said that primary responsibility of the public representatives is to go to the people for determining and addressing their problems through Government agencies.  He asked people to know their rights and seek due share in development process launched by the Government across the State.
Responding to the demands of the locals, the Minister said that due consideration is being given for promotion of agriculture, horticulture and other production sectors in the area. He said focused attention was being also paid to upgrade education, health, power, drinking water and road connectivity facilities especially in far off and hilly areas of the constituency.
