RAJOURI, June 3: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmed Khan today inaugurated Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution (CA&PD) office at Manjakote.
The block level CA&PD office was established on internal arrangement at Manjakote to facilitate the consumers of this border area.
Speaking on the occasion, the Health Minister said that fulfilling of people aspirations and genuine developmental needs was the priority of the Government. He said opening of CA&PD office at Manjakote was the long pending demand of the people of the area which was fulfilled by the Government. He said this office would benefit over 60,000 people of 36 Panchayats of the area.
Mr Shabir said that keeping in view difficult topography of this border block the Government has already established medical block, education zone, ICD project, Police Sub-Divisional Office, treasury office and banking facilities at Manjakote block headquarter for the convenience of the people of the area.
Health Minister said that focused attention is being also given to upgrade developmental infrastructure in the area, adding that upgradation of roads and improving connectivity, power supply and drinking water with expansion of education and health care facilities has received significant attention.
Mr Shabir called upon Panchs and Sarpanchs to bring all the developmental issues to the notice of concerned departments well in time so that these would be incorporated in action plans.
The Minister also inspected pace of progress of several ongoing developmental projects. He directed concerned executing agencies for time bound completion of the projects so that benefits of these would reach to the people at the earliest.
