RAJOURI, Apr 7: Former Health Minister and President DCC Rajouri has urged the Government to continue the services of paramedics in GMC Rajouri and other such institutions keeping in view the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.
Mr Khan said the Health and Medicare facilities in the backward and far flung areas of Jammu region like Rajouri, Poonch, Doda and Kathua etc are scarce and there is urgent need to upgrade the systems as well as trained health manpower, adding that instead of taking these measures, the Government has disengaged the trained health workers in these GMCs.
He said these employees were recruited after proper selection procedure and should have been continued and regularised in view of their expertise and experience and dearth of skilled persons in health in peripheral districts.
