RAJOURI, July 7: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan today laid foundation of New Type Primary Health Center, Dodason Bala and New Type Primary Health Center, Leeran Wala in Rajouri.
Addressing public meetings after laying foundation in these villages, the Minister has said that Government’s pro-people policies and exemplary initiatives have brought the State on the track of peace and prosperity. He affirmed that this rhythm would be carried onward with a mission to ensure all-round development of rural as well as border people.
The Minister said that providing quality health care facilities received focused attention of the Government, adding that besides construction of hospital complexes in rural and hilly areas, the setting of health institutions in difficult topography areas was the priority of the Government.
Referring to various revolutionary initiatives taken by the Government during the past four years for bringing accountability, transparency in the administration to provide good governance to the people, besides empower the people at gross root level, the Minister said that laws like Right to Information Act, Public Service Guarantee Act and holding of Panchayat elections were the land mark steps of the Government.
Highlighting the priorities under health sector, the Minister said that all such areas having difficult topography would be provided health centers facilities. He said in this regard the Government would soon establish 600 new sub-health centers in the State.
The Minister said that over all power scenario in Dodason Bala would be upgraded, adding that in this regard a DPR of Rs 1.90 crore has been submitted to the Centre for approval of funds. He said that construction of Water Supply Scheme at Dodason Bala has been also sanctioned by the Government and work on this Scheme would be started soon.
