Shabir orders suspension of Technician, fines BMO

RAJOURI, June 18: Minister of State for Health, Shabir Ahmad Khan during his surprise visit to Community Health Centre Kalakot issued instructions for suspension of electric technician of the hospital for his negligence in maintaining hospital electricity infrastructure.
He also issued directions for imposing a fine of Rs 1000 on Block Medical Officer and also a fine of Rs 500 on incharge nurse of the hospital. He also instructed Chief Medical Officer, Rajouri to call for an explanation of store keeper for not maintaining the records properly.
The action in this regard was taken by the Minister over reports of mismanagement and indiscipline in the hospital, besides poor performance shown in upkeep of hospital wards and maintaining of proper records. He directed the concerned Chief Medical Officer to monitor working of the hospital and ensure that no patient faces any inconvenience during the treatment in the hospital.
The Health Minister also took stock of the overall functioning of the hospital. He went round each section of the hospital, enquired about the welfare of the patients and received appraisal about different health care facilities available for the convenience of the people.
During the inspection, the Minister directed the concerned to ensure all facilities are provided to the patients as well as pregnant mothers and neonates. He underscored the need for total sanitation in and around the hospital and instructed for holding RKS meeting regularly in consultation with local members of  Legislature for arranging minor repairs and purchase of day to day essential items for use in the hospitals.
Later the Minister addressed a public meeting at Duranegali Choudary Nar in Rajouri. He assured the people that all their genuine developmental needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner.
The Minister said that all-round development of hilly and border areas have received keen attention of the government during last over 4 years.
