Shabir reviews works in Rajouri constituency

RAJOURI, Aug 13:  Former Minister and MLA Rajouri Shabir Ahmed Khan today paid visit to Manjakote and several other areas and reviews ongoing development works.
Accompanied by some party leaders, the MLA also paid visit to the house of bereaved family at  Hattan Seri, where three real brothers were drowned in flash flood few days back and expressed his condolences. A large number of people of the area projected the demand of bridge over this nallah and the MLA assured them to place this demand forcefully in the coming District Development Board meeting. He assured them to get the bridge sanctioned for the village.
Addressing a public meeting at the Seri village, Mr Khan described the regime of Ghulam Nabi Azad in the State as golden period and maintained that massive development took place during those two and half years.  Not only Jammu but all the three regions witnessed a balanced development. With the tireless efforts of Mr Azad many big projects were launched and funds got sanctioned from the Centre. But unfortunately some of the projects were slowed down   after his exit.  He said Congress is the only party which can provide better development with impartial attitude. He said that attention is being given to upgrade the infrastructure in all sectors to improve the living standard of the people especially living in remote areas. The creation of new administrative units was the historic decision.
Mr Khan also reviewed various development works like PMGSY roads, including Hattan Seri to Ghambir Muglan, Ghambir Gali to Behrote, construction work on Govt High School Hattan besides works related to power infrastructure. He appealed the people to support Congress party for better development.  Saleem Mughal, Mohd Farooq and Moulvi Gulzar also accompanied the MLA.
