Shabnum’s Tales of Valley, Daraye Kashmir released

JAMMU, May 7:Two important books in Devnagri and English version of veteran writer and story teller Vijay C Shabnum titled Tales of the Valley in English and translation of same in Nagri titled Daraye Kashmir were released in a simple and glittering function at K L Sehgal Hall here today.
Based on stories of Kashmir about ethos values and culture of ancient times from Rajtarangni and Panchtantantra were nicely scripted, penned and reproduced by writer. It tells about ancient Kashmir the forgotten facts in an artistic way. The writer was specially complimented to its publisher Sunil Gupta and Radio Sharda for lending basic logistic support. Ashwani Chrungoo PK president was special invite in the presidium. This programme was presided over by veteran painter Gokul K Dembi who’s painting of 1962 was depicted in back cover of the book. M LC Surinder Ambardar was guest of honour while veteran leader and MLA Jammu West BJP president was the chief guest. The presidium besides writer Vijay Shabnum was attended by President Zeshta Devi Prabandak Committee B B Bhat. Paper on the book was presented by known physician writer Dr.Roshan Saraf. Vote of thanks was proposed by Rajender Aagosh . The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Kundan Paaras. Many a person’s of repute from various fields of fine arts included M K Santoshi, Virji Sumbli, Maharaj K Maharaj, P K Raina and many more.
