SRINAGAR, May 17: Mohammad Shafi Uri, Member of Parliament, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here this afternoon to felicitate the Governor on his continuing association with the future growth of the State.
During the meeting, the Governor and Mr. Uri discussed various issues relating to the importance of good governance and the need to promote the speedy socio-economic development of the State.
Meanwhile, A. G. Noorani, noted legal luminary, analyst and author, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan, here today.
Noorani presented to the Governor the two volume set of his latest book, “The Kashmir Dispute 1947-2012”. Thanking the author for giving him a copy of his book, the Governor observed that there was no event in the past decades or any document on India-Pak relations which was not known to Noorani.
The Governor, who has been involved for many years during his service career in negotiations with Pakistan on issues between the two countries, and Mr Noorani discussed several matters relating to future Indo-Pak relations.
