KISHTWAR, Dec 18: MLA Kishtwar Shagun Parihar here today conducted a two day tour of Kontwara area and took stock of the problems being faced by the locals there.
The MLA visited Hilud, Pallan, Chudyana, Bhandera and Lilaran areas in Kontwara and the locals there raised issues like road connectivity, lack of medical facilities, up-gradation of schools, poor electric poles, drinking water crisis etc.
Youth of the area alleged that though Ratle Hydro electric power project is being constructed in their area but the unemployed youth there are being deliberately ignored by the project authorities.
They demanded that they should also be provided job in the Ratle Hydro project.
Shagun Parihar assured the locals that all their issues will be taken up with the concerned authorities on priority for early redressal.
She said that PM Narendra Modi has started several welfare schemes for each and every citizen of India so that everyone gets all the required facilities.
Several BJP leaders including DDC Drabshala B and former PRI members also accompanied the MLA.
