Shagun Parihar calls on LG, highlights various demands of constituency

JAMMU, Jan 6: Member of Legislative Assembly from Kishtwar constituency, Shagun Parihar called on Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory, Manoj Sinha at Raj Bhawan, here, today.
Shagun Parihar submitted a memorandum to LG and discussed in detail the various developmental projects and several pressing demands of the public of their constituency.
MLA Kishtwar demanded development of Kishtwar University Campus and introduction of New Courses of Social Sciences, Humanities in University Campus along with early completion of pending construction work of campus and its Hostel.
Parihar also focused on availability of essential commodities and free ration in Winters to people of far flung areas of Kishtwar, starting of work on establishment of Saffron Park at earliest, upgradation of Security Grid and strengthening of VDG Members in Kishtwar to monitor and counter anti-national activities.
Along with this Parihar also demanded to expedite the road construction work of Dachan & Kuntwara. She focused on completion of road at earliest, so that local people will get relief.
Kishtwar is known for its beautiful landscapes and picturesque locations, she said and to promote tourism in Kishtwar she demanded promotion of religious tourism, trekking, adventure tourism and development of tourism sites and Installation of Gondola Cable Car from Chowgan Kishtwar to Kalamsatar to attract tourists.
She also demanded funds for development of religious places Sarthal Mata, Machail Mata, Hudh Mata, Bodh Gompa at Padder under the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to boost religious tourism, immediate shifting and construction of New Bus Stand at Kishtwar to decongest the rush in city.
MLA Kishtwar stressed on proper survey and financial assistance, resettlement plan for residents of Kuntwara who are settled in Kandani during the militancy period and Kandani people who are affected by project construction.
LG Manoj Sinha assured the time bound completion of projects and redressal of the various issues of public importance.
