HM to visit village Mahanpur in Kathua

JAMMU, Mar 17: Union Home Minister Amit Shah will reach here tomorrow afternoon on a two-day visit during which he will address CRPF Raising Day Parade at MA Stadium and hold high-level review of security situation in Jammu and Kashmir with top officials of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Jammu and Kashmir Police, officials of Central Armed Police Force (CAPFs), Intelligence agencies and civil administration.
As per the official sources, Shah will reach here tomorrow afternoon and stay at the Raj Bhawan.

He will address CRPF Raising Day Parade at MA Stadium here in the morning on March 19. The function is expected to last two hours.
Sources said two hours have been reserved for Shah at the Raj Bhawan for his meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and review of security situation in Jammu and Kashmir with top officials.
Sources said Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh is likely to accompany the Home Minister along with Home Secretary AK Bhalla, DGs of CAPFs, Secretaries and heads of Intelligence agencies among others.
Sources said the Home Minister is also scheduled to visit Mahanpur in Kathua district where high-security prison is coming up. He will also visit some CRPF formations and interact with the jawans on Raising Day of the Force.
Senior officials of para-military forces and Intelligence agencies will reach here from New Delhi and Kashmir tomorrow. The officers of civil administration and Jammu and Kashmir Police are already in Jammu monitoring security and other arrangements for the Home Minister’s visit.
Security review by the Home Minister comes close on the heels of recent killings of three Panchayat members and two security personnel who had come home on leave in Kashmir. At the same time, there has been no let up in the killings of militants. A number of militants including top commanders of the outfits have been gunned down by the security personnel in the Kashmir valley.
