HM to lay foundation, inaugurate projects

JAMMU, June 22: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is arriving here tomorrow morning on a two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir during which he will address a mega rally at Bhagwati Nagar, pay tribute to RSS ideologue Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his martyrdom day, hold high-level review of security situation in the Kashmir valley, attend Vitasta Festival and join other functions. He will lay foundation stone and inaugurate projects at both Jammu and Srinagar.

Shah will reach here around 10.30 am tomorrow and directly visit Trikuta Nagar where he will pay tribute to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee on his death anniversary.
He will reach Bhagwati Nagar around 11.15 am where he will lay foundation stone of CFSL Samba and lay foundation and inaugurate development works virtually.
Later, he will address mega rally of the BJP at the same place where thousands of people are expected to participate.
He is also likely to visit Shri Tirupati Balaji temple in Mujeen area on the outskirts of the City.
The Home Minister will fly to Srinagar in the afternoon where he will lay foundation and inaugurate various projects at Raj Bhawan Srinagar.
In the evening, he will attend Vitasta Festival at Srinagar.
He will hold high-level review of security situation in Jammu and Kashmir especially arrangements for annual pilgrimage of Shri Amarnath Ji at Srinagar in the evening in a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and top officials.
Shri Amarnath Yatra is beginning from July 1 and will last till August 31 totaling 62 days.
Shah will have night halt at Srinagar.
On June 24, the Home Minister will lay foundation stone of Balidan Stamb at Partap Park Srinagar.
Elaborate security measures have been put in place here ahead of the Home Minister’s visit.
The officials said multi-tier security arrangements have been put up at the venue of the rally.
Personnel from the police, CISF and CRPF have taken positions to guard the venue, they added.
On Thursday, top police and civil administration officials reviewed the security measures at Bhagwati Nagar.
Senior BJP leaders including UT chief Ravinder Raina also visited the spot and assessed arrangements for grand rally of Amit Shah.
The BJP is expecting packed ground at Bhagwati Nagar as there is massive enthusiasm among the people over Shah’s visit to Jammu.
