JAMMU, Feb 25: Hurriyat Conference (JK) that was formed last year by Democratic Freedom Party chairman, Shabir Ahmad Shah and its vice chairman, Mehmood Sagar, with other likeminded leaders is still in infancy and set up is yet to be framed.
DFP chairman, Shabir Shah, has been making his efforts for unification of other Hurriyat Conference groups under one umbrella for past few years and that is why the Hurriyat Conference (JK) has not been given a formal shape.
There is no question of stepping down of two senior leaders of the Hurriyat Conference (JK) as they were not heading it in Kashmir and Pakistan respectively.
The DFP chairman over the years has only recommended deserving candidate for MBBS course in various Pakistani Medical Colleges on the basis on merit and there is no question of selling the MBBS seats.
The Chairman of DFP and his party leaders have neither sent any of their relatives, friends or acquaintances to any Medical College or Engineering College at Pakistan nor have sold MBBS or Engineering seat to anyone.
Shah also contested the news report published in this newspaper on February 5 titled Hurriyat Conference leaders sell MBBS, BE admissions.” He said that the report in baseless aimed at maligning his image.
