JAMMU, Oct 27: Ruling out dialogue with Pakistan by Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, during his recent visit to Kashmir, has sent a very clear and loud message that Pak country has no role in India’s internal matters. His further assertion that he would rather talk to people of Jammu and Kashmir indicates that only our own people have a say in all matters.
This was stated by Jammu and Kashmir, BJP, spokesperson, Balbir Ram Rattan, while terming the stand of the Union Government as an eye opener for regional political parties, whose leaders have been only singing songs of Pakistan and advocating talks with it. He said that there is no logic in demanding to involve Pakistan in dialogue on Kashmir issue, adding that that the only issue is PoJK, for which the entire nation backs the February 22, 1994, unanimous resolution of the Parliament of India asking Pakistan to vacate the areas of the Indian State of Jammu and Kashmir, which they have occupied through aggression. Parliament is supreme and NC and PDP should honour its resolution by coming forward to support the same in one voice.
Balbir Ram said that history is witness to the fact that India always extended a hand of friendship towards Pakistan for cordial relations as a neighbour but it never displayed any sincerity to be a good friend or a neighbour. Its activities have only displayed its character like an enemy. Soon after partition of the country on communal lines, Pakistan invaded Jammu and Kashmir through Kawalis, it forced India 1965, 1971 and Kargil wars. Same Pakistan has unleashed a proxy war in Kashmir for the last over 30 years. It has set up training and launching pads for terrorists on its soil. It also pushed trained foreign mercenaries into Indian territory. Its army helped infiltration across the borders. By going through such acts, no one would ever like to call Pakistan a neighbour who can be a good friend by any yardstick.
Balbir said that Pakistan is a rogue State, whose policy has been only causing deaths and destruction in Jammu and Kashmir in particular and its votaries in Valley should understand Pak’s nefarious designs and shed love towards it.
Balbir further said that for every citizen the sovereignty of the country is most dear and the leaders of NC and PDP should also endorse nation’s stand on vital issues.
