NEW DELHI, June 10 : Union Minister Amit Shah on Monday expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reposing faith and reassigning the portfolios of Ministries of Home Affairs and Cooperation to him. On social media X, Shah said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the MHA will continue to strengthen security initiatives and realise the vision of a secure Bharat. “Gratitude to PM Shri @narendramodi Ji for reposing trust and reassigning me the roles of Minister of Home Affairs and Minister of Cooperation,” Shah posted on X. “In Modi 3.0, the MHA will continue to accelerate and strengthen security initiatives and introduce new approaches to realise PM Modi’s vision of a secure Bharat. Under the astute leadership of Modi Ji, the Ministry of Cooperation will remain committed to empowering farmers and villages with the vision of ‘Sahakaar Se Samriddhi’,” he said. A day after the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday chaired the first Cabinet meeting of the NDA government and portfolios of 71 newly-appointed Ministers were announced. Besides, Shah, PM Modi retained Rajnath Singh, S Jaishankar, Nirmala Sitharaman as ministers of Defence, External Affairs and Finance respectively. Moreover, the government also allocated two Ministers of State in the Ministry of Home Affairs — Nityanand Rai and Bandi Sanjay Kumar. (UNI)
