SAMBA, Dec 15: Shaheed Diwas of Captain Bahadur Singh, Vir Chakra was celebrated at his native village, Bamboo Chak area of Ramgarh in district Samba here, today.
Ex MLA Vijaypur, Chander Parkash Ganga was chief guest on this occasion whereas the local people of this area along with family members and relatives were also present on this occasion. They paid floral tribute to Shaheed Captain Bahadur Singh Vir Chakra at his native village.
Ganga, while appreciating Shaheed Captain Bahadur Singh, Vir Chakra Samarak Samiti for its efforts in holding such events to honour the sacrifices of our martyrs, said that these Samities play a big role in remembering and recognizing the sacrifices of our brave soldiers thus keeping them alive in our hearts forever. He stressed upon the need of proper registration of such organizations so that these can work effectively in honour of the martyrs of the nation. “Martyrs serve as a source of great inspiration for the coming generations”, he asserted.
