Shaheen urges Govt for relief, development to J&K

SRINAGAR, Aug 11: Expressing deep concern over the ongoing challenges being faced by the people of Jammu Kashmir, Janta Dal (U) State President G M Shaheen today appealed to the Government of India as well as Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha for immediate action to bring relief and development to the region.
“Despite the independence achieved in 1947, the region’s residents continue to endure hardships and the development expected has not been realized,” he said while addressing a public meeting, here today.
Shaheen exhorted people to work together for ensuring that the promises made to masses of Jammu and Kashmir are fulfilled. He sought immediate attention and action from both J&K and Central authorities to improve the situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
