JAMMU, Mar 23: Claiming that the overwhelming majority of the people of J&K State wanted restoration of internal autonomy, former Union Minister and Ex-PCC President Prof Safi-ud-Din Soz alleged that the Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s recent statement on benefits of abrogating Article 370 was false and nothing more than a common-place propaganda.
“During his recent visit to Jammu, Amit Shah said that Dalit, women, backward classes and the Paharis had been benefited after the abrogation of Article 370. Why did he not point out just one thing which would be rated by the people as beneficial to them?” Soz said in a statement, issued here today.
Stating that the abrogation of Article 370 by the `RSS/BJP Govt’ at the Centre was totally illegal and unconstitutional, Prof Soz said the Central Govt would be well-advised to know that the first party to the J&K State’s Accession to India happens to be the people of J&K State who have decided to fight for the sacred cause of restoration of internal autonomy!
