Shaikshik Maha Sangh national convention at Katra from today

JAMMU, Jan 29: All Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh Teachers Federation is going to hold three-day convention of Akhil Bhartiya Rashtriya Shaikshik Maha Sangh at Katra from tomorrow.
The intellectuals from 24 States and 50 universities of the country will be participating in the meet where new Education Policy by the Government of India, 7th Pay Commission, prevailing scenario in the Education sector and other relevant issues will be discussed.
This was informed by the Federation convener Maheshwar Prasad, while addressing a press conference, here today.
“National executive body of the Shaikshik Maha Sangh will discuss all the issues confronting the teaching cadre and also the present scenario through which education from Pre-primary to University level is passing,” he said.
Accompanied by other office bearers of the Federation, Maheshwar Prasad also highlighted some demands of the teaching community and urged Governor N N Vohra for his intervention for ensuring release of pending DA and salary of deployed teachers and Masters before the end of financial year.
Parshotam Sharma, Harvinder Pal Singh, Dr Vijay Kumar and others were also present in the press conference.
