JAMMU, Jan 14: Former Ministers, Shakti Parihar and Priya Sethi, BJP State vice-president Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir, Rafiq Wani and Mudassar Wani were elected as Bharatiya Janata Party’s National Council Members from Jammu & Kashmir in a meeting under organizational elections’ process at party Headquarter, here, today.
It is worthwhile to notice that the newly elected BJP’s five National Council members, one each from the five Parliamentary Constituencies is set to play an important role in the election of party in State as well as national president in the ongoing nationwide organizational elections.
In the National Council, Shakti Parihar will represent the Udhampur-Doda Parliamentary constituency, Priya Sethi will represent the Jammu-Poonch Parliamentary constituency, Dr. Ali Mohammad Mir will represent the Srinagar Parliamentary constituency, Rafiq Wani will represent the Anantnag Parliamentary constituency and Mudassar Wani will represent the Baramulla Parliamentary constituency.
The election process for the five BJP’s National Council members from J&K was held under the supervision of State incharge BJP’s organizational elections S. Varinderjit Singh and co-incharge, Munish Sharma.
Similarly, other National Council members of party will be elected from other States as well, which will form a part of body for the election of BJP’s national president.
