DODA, Nov 28: In his continuous efforts to reach out to the people, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Doda, Shakti Raj Parihar today visited Dondli, a remotest village of his constituency, to take stock of people’s grievances.
Accompanied by district officers, the MLA paid a surprised visit to Ayurvadic Centre in the village and found a nursing orderly (NO) absent from his duty without any prior information. The NO was suspended on the directions of MLA.
In Punyala Middle School, MLA provided Rs 1 Lakh under Constituency Development Fund (CDF) for immediate repair and restoration of the damaged school building as the school is running under rented accommodation from a very long period of time. He also paid visits to ration depots and a number of other schools to check the staff positions.
A large number of people hailing from Gaditor-A and Gaditor-B and its adjoining areas raised their issues and problems related to ration, electricity, road connectivity, emergency health services and potable dirking water with the MLA.
On villagers demand to start work on Dongdu-Ganditor road, which was lying halfway during previous regime, the MLA directed the concerned officer to start the work within 15 days on the road. Shakti also asked the officers concerned to prepare DPR’s of Abli-Masri to Dondli to Punyala for smooth road connectivity.
