JAMMU, June 27: Emphasizing sufficient irrigation facilities for the farmers during paddy season, Minister for PHE, Irrigation and Flood Control, Sham Lal Choudhary, today exhorted upon the engineers to ensure that the irrigation resources should function properly at all levels.
The Minister, while assessing the department’s preparation and arrangements for paddy season, asked the concerned officers to make sure that the farmers get proper water supply and other facilities.
The Minister was informed about preparation of DPR of lift station on Chenab river to supplement the capacity of Pratap Canal which will further enhance irrigation water supply to farmers.
The Minister asked the Executive Engineer to ensure timely repair of damaged transformers and motors to facilitate the farmers with adequate irrigation services.
