JAMMU, Dec 16: Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avam Vedic Sansthan Trust organized a program to honour one of the great illustrious Sanskrit scholar at Purkho, here today.
Former minister Sham Lal Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion. The program started with chanting of Vedic Mantras by Sanskrit scholars. Mahant Rohit Shastri, president of the Trust said that Trust gives “Kailakh Sanskrit Rattan Puraskar ” every year. This year trust and other Sanskrit scholars decided to give this award to Dr Chander Mouli Raina, who is renowned scholar in the field.
The Kailakh Sanskrit Rattan Puraskar was given by the chief guest Sham Lal Sharma during the program. The Trust has decided to give this award to those who excel in Sanskrit language.
Trust president, Mahant Rohit Shastri referred to the achievements of Dr Chander Mouli Raina in the field of Sanskrit language. He said Dr Mouli is an important member of Shri Amar Nath Shrine Board.
On occasion, Sham Lal Sharma, threw light on the achievements and works of Dr Mouli Raina and said he can be role model for coming generations to work for the development of Sanskrit language to set it as a mean of communication in modern world.
Bawa Jitto Dev Asthan Mahant Hardutt Dutt, President Awardeee – Bhupinder Shastri, Dr Vinod Shastri Jyotishi, Director of Dewan Devi School Ashwani Suri, Advocate Pawan Khajuria, priest of Shukrala Devi Pt Tript Shastri, Swami Suchita Nand, Deepak Shastri, Tilak Raj Shastri, Ravinder Shastri, Suraj Parkash, Vijay Sharma, Suman Shastri, Vinod Shastri, Ashwani Shastri, Rahul Shastri, Rajesh Sharma, Sanjeev Sharma, Shiv Kumar Sharma, Pt Narayan and other Sanskrit scholars also graced the occasion.
