Sham flags off Baba Sidh Goriya Yatra

JAMMU, June 18: Senior vice president JKPCC and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma  today flagged off 4th Yatra for Baba Sidh Goriya Swankha from Baba Kaliveer Devsthan Kangrail, Raipur Domana.
Being organized by Baba Kalu Chib, the Yatra is observed every year in which hundreds  of devotees participate with great religious fervour and gaiety.
Speaking on this occasion, Sham Lal said that religious events like this spread the message of brotherhood and peace. He further  said that such celebrations also help in  preserving  of our rich cultural and traditional ethos for the prosperity. “It also helps in acquainting our youth with their age old culture and traditions,” he added and hoped that divine blessings will strengthen the bonds of amity and bring peace and prosperity in the State.
On the occasion, Sham Lal also expressed anguish over the recent attacks on the Hindu worship places and alleged  that there was some conspiracy behind these unethical incidents. “It is surprising that the accused  particularly choose to attack only Hindu temples,” he said and asked the State Government to probe both the  incidents thoroughly from all angles.
