JAMMU, Dec 8: Senior vice president JKPCC and former Minister Sham Lal Sharma slammed National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah for his remarks that his party is not against separatist Hurriyat and that PoK is a part of Pakistan, and said he was deliberately raking up the issue in order to remain in news.
Addressing monthly meeting of Block Congress Committee Akhnoor Sharma said that he is the same Farooq, who used to release statements against Hurriyat Conference and suddenly he wants to move forward on the path of Hurriyat.
He also said that statement given by Farooq Abdullah has hurt the sentiments of Jammu people.
Though Abdullah knows that the turmoil in the valley is the creation of the Hurriyat leaders yet his recent statements made by him are unfortunate.
Sham Sharma said that we should not indulge in politics so far as the turmoil in the Valley is concerned. He further said we all should stand together and keep the party politics away to consider various ways and means which could resolve the prevailing crisis in the Valley.
Sham also slammed Farooq Abdullah on the statement in which he said that PoK doesn’t belong to India. He made it clear that PoK is part and parcel of J&K and India.
On the issue of demonetisation Sham said that we welcome this step but the Government has failed to implement it properly.
He further said huge amount was found by police in the official vehicle of two ministers of J&K cabinet, but no action under the law was taken against them. Even their names were not disclosed by the Government.
During his recent visit, the BJP general secretary Ram Madhav has given a clean chit to the these two ministers in whose possession cash was found which shows that BJP is encouraging the black money holders and corrupt politicians.
He said that the Government’s decision to not charge toll tax should be continued and free distribution of ration should be there in slum areas and to BPL families who are short of money. “There is resentment among people which is being ignored by the Government. Trade and industry stakeholders are also in trouble due to the decision,” he said.
