JAMMU, Sept 14 – Intensifying his election campaign and to closely connect with the people of Jammu North constituency, senior BJP leader and party candidate, Sham Lal Sharma organized an impressive road show here, today.
The road show comprising large number of supporters with their four wheelers, two wheelers displaying party flags, chanting slogans in support of BJP and party candidate, embarked from Roop Nagar and passed through Old Janipur, Main Stop, Janipur Colony, High Court Chowk, Lower Patoli, Upper Patoli, Lakkar Mandi and other interiors falling under Ward Numbers.34, 35,36,37 and 38.
The enthusiastic people warmly welcomed the leader. Large number of women chanting victory slogans in favour of BJP also greeted him.
Later Sham Lal Sharma addressed well attended public meetings at Domana and other places and highlighted the programmes and policies of the BJP. He said BJP’s nationalistic agenda is to strengthen the democracy at the grass root level in a real way, restoring sustained peace, harmony and equal justice to every section of the society. It is endeavour of the BJP and Pradhan Mantri, Narinder Modi to deliver social justice at the doorstep of every individual with dignity and honour, he said.
The slogan of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Paryas itself symbolizes the strong commitment of the Prime Minister towards the welfare of people of the country, especially the poor and marginalized classes, Sharma asserted.
Maintaining that Jammu region has suffered a total neglect on every front due to Kashmir centric politics for the past over seven decades and no party paid any heed to address the issues of Jammuites, Sharma said Dogra honour, heritage and culture was undermined and successive regimes only played with the sentiments of people, using them as vote banks only. Now the time has come to give befitting reply to these anti-people and anti-India parties in the upcoming elections to restrain them to regain power. “Supporting Congress, NC and PDP means reversing back to the era of militancy, stone pelting, blasts, hartals and encouraging the anti-national forces to destabilize the nation and Jammu Kashmir”, said Sharma.
