JAMMU, July 26: Senior BJP leader and former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma today felicitated the esteemed veterans of Jatt Chun Biradari who have completed 80 years of their successful journey of life, in a special function held at Devsthan Bandowala (Pallanwala), Jammu.
Recognizing the significant contributions of the Jatt Chun community to the society, Sham Lal Sharma lauded their pivotal role as the backbone of the area, with agriculture being their mainstay, providing grains for the sustenance of the entire community.
Addressing the gathering, Sham Lal Sharma expressed admiration for the progress made by the younger generation of the Jatt Chun Biradari. He commended their exemplary achievements and the remarkable positions they have attained in various spheres.
Sham Lal hoped that the proposed Reservation Bill for Jatt community will pave the way for enhanced access to education, employment and other essential resources, fostering overall growth of the community.
During the event, the former minister extended special appreciation to Er Ashok Singh for setting a unique example by facilitating the veterans of the Biradari. He also acknowledged the commendable efforts of Balwant Singh Choudhary in the education sector for the area.
Earlier, the former minister felicitated Ch Balwant Singh, Ch Krishan Singh-1, Ch Ram Singh, Banti Devi, Ch Shiv Ram, Ch Thoru Ram, Pyari Devi, Bachno Devi, Ch Ajit Singh, Ch Prakash Chand, Shanti Devi-1, Ch Swaran Singh, Ch Krishan Singh-2 and Shanti Devi-2.
Ch Pritam Singh, President of the Jatt Chun Devsthan, Bandowala, said that time has come when all the members of the Biradari should stand up for the welfare of the Biradari and the literate members of the Biradari should guide the new generation to achieve goals of their life and strengthen them to take pursue of education and professional studies.
Er Ashok Singh Choudhary, a retired Executive Engineer and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the Devsthan, also spoke on the occasion.
Suraj Singh Bhau, Vice Chairman of the DDC, Jammu appealed the Biradari members to hold such interactive program in future as well so that Biradari remain aware of the Government Schemes also. Bushan Kumar Bral, DDC Member, promised to provide funds for the Community Hall at Bandowala.
