Sham Lal Sharma flags off ‘Bicycle Man of India’ mission

JAMMU, Oct 24: The Delphic Council of Jammu and Kashmir today hosted the flagging-off ceremony for Neeraj Prajapati, popularly known as the “Bicycle Man of India.”
Prajapati will journey across 10 districts of Jammu and Kashmir, promoting organic living, arts, crafts, and spreading the Delphic message of peace through cultural and artistic exchanges.
Sham Lal Sharma, MLA Jammu North, officiated as the Chief Guest, while Mohan Lal Bhagat, MLA Akhnoor, was the Guest of Honour on the occasion.
Following the event, Sham Lal Sharma met with morning walkers and residents at JDA Park, Ward 66, Lower Muthi, where he received a memorandum addressing the park’s maintenance concerns.
Sharma assured the community that the issues would be resolved swiftly, instructing relevant departments to take immediate action to enhance infrastructure and public amenities.
Sharma emphasized the importance of maintaining and utilizing Government-developed infrastructure for the benefit of society.
He also addressed concerns over the rise of dengue, directing departments to launch preventive measures including fumigation, cleanliness drives, and awareness campaigns to safeguard public health.
The event was attended by notable figures such as Mandal president Suresh Khajuria, ex-Councillor Tripta Devi, Parshotam Singh Manhas, and other members of the Delphic Council and Walkers Association Jammu.
