Sham, others flag off rally for de-addiction, Sanskrit promotion

JAMMU, Aug 6: In the ongoing Sanskrit Month, Shri Kailakh Jyotish Avim Vedic Sansthan Trust here today organized an awareness rally from Government Higher Secondary School Muthi to Krishna Palace to promote Sanskrit and create awareness about drug de-addiction. Former Minister, Sham Lal Sharma was chief guest on the occasion while the guests of honour were Lieutenant General R.K Sharma (retired) and SP Rural Jammu, Brijesh Sharma among other dignitaries.
Speaking on the occasion, Sham Lal Sharma emphasized the need to promote Sanskrit, highlighting its unique and concise style, unparalleled to any other language.
General Sharma noted that drug addiction not only harms the individual but also adversely affects their family and society.
Brijesh Sharma encouraged the efforts to help those affected by addiction through strong willpower.
Mahant Rohit Shastri explained that Sanskrit Day is celebrated annually on Shravan Purnima, which falls on August 19 this year.
Students of Government Higher Secondary School Muthi and their Principal Kiran Sharma, former Councillor, Surya Prakash Padha, SHO Domana, Sushil Chaudhary, Suresh Khajuria, Jagmohan Sharma, Mukesh Sharma, Raj Kumar Sharma, Ajay Sharma, Naresh Raina, Deepak Gupta, Uttam Chand Sharma, Pramod Sharma, Jagdev Singh Chib, Kuldeep Khajuria, Yash Seth, Rajinder Seth, Master Vijay Sharma, Kaviraj Sharma, Ramesh Sharma, Babloo Sharma, Madan Lal, Ankush Sharma and other Trust members were also present on this occasion.
