JAMMU, Mar 17: After completing four-day tour to the twin border districts of Rajouri and Poonch, Govardhan Puri Peethadheeshwar Jagad Guru Shankaracharya Swami Sri Adhokshjanand Dev Teerathji Maharaj reached Akhnoor today.
Pertinent to mention here that Shankaracharya Adhokshjanand visited various forward posts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri and Poonch districts where he met personnel of security forces guarding the LoC under tough conditions and challenges from the neighbouring country.
Hundreds of devotees and local people of Akhnoor welcomed Shankaracharya Swami Ji with religious fervour and gaiety. They showered flowers and sought blessings on his arrival into the town where Shankaracharya Swami Ji also delivered sermons to the gathering.
In his address to the gathering, Shankaracharya said, “People from all walks of life are living happily and peacefully in the border area despite all odds. Communal Harmony should always prevail in the UT for its betterment”.
Shankaracharya stressed that one should devote time to self-estimation so that he can lead on the way to Dharma. “Whole India is full of divinity and spirituality which itself guides us on the right path of life”, Swami Ji asserted.
Jagad Guru Shankaracharya is on a week-long tour of J&K where he is meeting people living in border areas, visiting various religious places and giving blessings to the people for the wellbeing and peace in the Union Territory.
