Shankaracharya arrives on two-day visit in Jammu

JAMMU, Oct 21: On his two day visit, Shankaracharya of Uttar Peeth (Astrology) Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati Ji Maharaj reached here today.
Shankaracharya, along with 100 Sadhus reached the Darbar of Mata Bawe Wali and took the blessings of Mata.
He was welcomed in Jammu by JKPCC Working President and former Minister Raman Bhalla.
In a statement issued, on Tuesday Shankaracharya ji will give darshan to the devotees at the residence of Raman Bhalla and will enthrall the devotees with his sermons.
Raman Bhalla has appealed to the followers to come for the darshan of Shankaracharya on Tuesday to seek his blessings.
Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati is always active to protect Ganga and cows. He fasted for a long time in 2008 to declare Ganga as the national river.
He studied till Acharya in the subject of Naval grammar in Sampurnanand Sanskrit University of Kashi.
On April 15, 2003, Umashankar was given initiation into Danda Sannyasa and was given the name Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati.
