KISHTWAR, Nov 14: In a monumental occasion for district Kishtwar, Sri Sri Shankaracharya Shankar Bharti Swamiji Maharaj of Sringeri Sharada Peeth, currently on a Bharat Bhraman (Tour of Bharat from Mysore to Kashmir), visited Kishtwar after his return from Kashmir, on November 12 evening.
The Shankaracharya Ji and his entourage visited the Shri Sarthal Devi Ji Temple, where they were warmly received by Vice Chairman, Sarthal Devi Trust Kishtwar Sanjeev Parihar, Kuldeep Sharma, Lokesh Sharma besides other members of the Shri Sarthal Devi Trust and locals.
It may be recalled that the Trust is led by former Sadar-e-Riyasat, Maharaja Karan Singh as its chairman.
Shankaracharya Ji offered prayers, paid obeisance, and prayed for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of all.
Accompanying Shankaracharya Ji were Ex-Minister, Sunil Sharma and other prominent personalities from the region.
This visit marked a significant spiritual and cultural event, fostering unity and enlightenment among the people of Kishtwar and added a divine touch to the rich religious tapestry of the Sarthal region.
Earlier, Shankaracharya Ji delivered a divine address to the people of Kishtwar at the Shri Gori Shankar Temple of Sarkoot, Kishtwar accompanied by his disciples. The revered spiritual leader shared profound insights and teachings with the people of Kishtwar and devotees gathered at the sacred temple besides performing the grand Mahapuja.
