Shankaracharya visiting Jammu on Oct 22

JAMMU, Oct 15: Jagadguru Shankaracharya Avimuktesh-waranand Ji is scheduled to arrive in Jammu on October 22 to preside over the installation of Gau Dhwaj and deliver sermons at Gau Mahasabha from 12 noon to 3 pm.
After this he will continue his journey to Leh, Ladakh.
This was informed in a press conference here today by the organisers of Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra.
They said that the event is being organised to awaken cow devotees nationwide and unite them for a common cause of restoring the dignity and honour of the sacred cow and conferring upon her the status of ‘Rashtriya Mata’.
“Following this Yatra, a nationwide Gau Pratishtha Mahasammelan will be held on the occasion of Gopashtami in Delhi on November 7, 8 and 9 to appeal to the Government of India to end the curse of cow slaughter,” they maintained.
Preparing for the event, Gau Dhwaj Sthapana Bharat Yatra co-convener, Gobhakt Vikas Patni along with Akhilesh Brahmchari and State convener, Deepu Raina have arrived here.
