JAMMU, Dec 7: ‘Khoon Ka Rang To Hai’, a collection of various poems, written by Prof Raj Kumar, was released today by Divisional Commissioner Shantmanu during a function, organized by Jammu and Kashmir Rastrabhasa Prachar Samiti at K L Saigal Hall, Cultural Academy, Jammu .
Kapil Anirudh, noted scholar, presented a detailed paper on the book. While analyzing the book critically, he appreciated various poems which reflect the sensitivity about the contemporary concerns.
Shantmanu, while congratulating the writer, said that this worthwhile book will definitely elevate the Hindi poetry, especially in the post modern viewpoint.
Prof Lalit Magotra, in his presiding speech, said that the pomes in the book depict the various social and political concerns and issues like nepotism and malpractice prevalent in the society and the system as well.
Dr Arvinder Singh ‘Amn’ was the guest of honour. He said indeed the book is based on myth but the concerns are very true and of course will provoke the readers to think about his surroundings and the system.
Neeru Sharma termed the book as uniqe.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Prof Bharat Bushan while vote of thanks was presened by Dr Sunita Bhadwal.
Other prominent, who were present on this occasion, included Prof Ved Ghai, Chattarpal (president Dogri Sanstha), Prof Nirmal Vinod, Sardar Pritpal Singh Betab, Dr Sudhir Mahajan, Giyanesver, Sardar Baljeet Singh Raina, Yogita Yadav, Aruna Sharma, Rajeshwar Bhakhri, Sunita Bhadwal and Richa Sharma.
