JAMMU, Apr 19: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved extension in Central deputation tenure of Shantmanu, an IAS officer of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir cadre (now AGMUT), presently posted as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution.

Shantmanu, who held various significant posts in Jammu and Kashmir including the Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), is presently on the Central deputation and his tenure has been extended by the ACC by one more year from May 14, 2024 to May 14, 2025 or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
