JAMMU, Mar 6: Sharda Colony Welfare Committee, Patoli Brahamana, Jammu unanimously elected Avtar Krishen Bakshi as its new President in a meeting held here today.
Sanjay Raina was elected Vice President Cum Spokesperson, while Preduman Krishan Khar was elected as General Secretary and Ramesh K Bhat as the Treasurer.
Shuban Ji Bhat and Makhan Lal Dhar were nominated as the Organizers Cum Store-In-charges of the Committee.
For the President’s election, Avtar Krishen defeated Badri Nath Khar in a close contest by 4 votes.
Out of a total of 71 votes, 69 were polled and one was rejected, out of which, Avtar Krishen got 36, while Badrinath secured 32 votes.
