JAMMU, Feb 22: The 4000 km Sharda Maa Yatra led by Ravinder Pandita founder of Save Sharda Committee Kashmir and Surinder Mirza and Ravinder Tikoo from Sringeri Mutt, which reached here on February 17, was taken to Jagti township from Sharda Temple Bantalab today where thousands of people had darshan of the Mata’s Murti and paid obeisance to Goddess.

The Shoba Yatra supported by Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj and Global Solace, Shiv Mandir ,Radha Krishan Mandir started at 11 am in the morning from Lane No 1 and for five hours travelled through various lanes of the township and temples inhabited by KPs.
Children, women, elderly and all enthusiastically followed the yatra and sang bhajans in Mata’s reverence and esteem.
VKS convener, Kiran Watal congratulated Ravinder Pandita and entire Hindu society for this historic yatra and offered his wholehearted support to his initiative.
Pintoo Ji president, Global Solace said, he is very fortunate to witness this moment in his lifetime along with thousands who had darshan.
Ravinder Raina president, BJP UT Jammu and Kashmir also participated in the Yatra paid his obeisance and sang bhajans in praise of Goddess.
Prominent dignitaries who were present and welcomed the Yatra Moti Lal Padroo, Roshan Lal Koul, Kundan Lal Raina, Kuldeep Razdan, Avtar Krishen Raina, Chaman Lal Pandit, P L Pandita, Mandal president, Bitu Ji Bhat, Ajay Bhat ,Deepak Razdan, P L Thusoo, Ashok Sumbli, R K Tikoo ,Sanjay Ji, Dazy Bazaz, Reta Dhar, Neelam Koul, Fency Koul, Anju Tikoo ,Kiran Ji, Sanjana, Asha Ji, Dimple Sharma, Shaboo, Ruby Anita etc.
Earlier a large number of devotees visited Sharda Mandir Bantalab where the Mata has been kept for darshan since February 17 after it reached Jammu.
A bhajan Sandhya was held at Sharda temple Bantalab by the devotees which was organised by Sharda Mata Trust Bandipora (Bantalab) led by Ashok Kumar Bhat. The devotees also paid obeisance to Goddess and prayed for peace and prosperity of mankind.
They were served prashad after the Bhajan Sandhya. Tomorrow the Yatra will be taken to Sharda temple Pouni Chak and in the evening it will return to Bantalab temple before its onwards sojourn to newly constructed temple of Sharda Mata at Teetwal on LoC in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district February 24.
