JAMMU, Feb 16: BJP J&K president, Ravinder Raina today said that his party is committed to retrieve world famous Sharda Shrine in Muzaffarabad which is under the forcible occupation of Pakistan.
Addressing a Yuva Jodo Sankalp Abhiyan of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) at party headquarters here, today Raina said the Sharda Mata is presiding deity of Hindus and it is under forcible occupation of Pakistan due to the blunder of the then Congress Government led by Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who declared unilateral ceasefire when Pak raiders were on retreat.
He said it is the commitment of the nation through Joint Parliamentary resolution of 1994 to liberate PoJK from Pakistan and BJP will take this campaign to logical conclusion. He said today is Basant Panchmi which is the Manifestation Day of Maa Sharda, the Goddess of knowledge. He said PoJK is part of undivided J&K which belongs to India and the nation is committed to retrieve it from clutches of Pak.
He said besides the religious centre the Sharda shrine was an educational hub from times immemorial. On the occasion, hundreds of activists joined BJYM and took solemn oath for liberation of holy shrine.
Addressing the BJYM activists BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Kaul asked them to be vigilant against the forces inimical to national cause. He said a conspiracy has been lodged to dislodge Narendra Modi Government by certain forces within and outside the country and it is the duty of every activist to frustrate their designs. He said a confusion was created by these forces on the name of CAA first and now on the name of farmers’ bills to mislead the countrymen.
He warned that such forces will not succeed in their vicious designs as “we stand for unity and prosperity of India to make it a Vishwa Guru”. He said the people are watching such forces and they have seen through their game plan in which they would never succeed.
The Yuva Jodo Sankalp Abhiyan was launched by the BJYM under the leadership of its president of JKUT, Arun Prabhat.
Arun Prabhat said this historic joining of hundreds of youth in the organization in a single day has been possible due to progressive image of BJP and hopes of younger generation with the party. BJYM has worked tirelessly in pandemic times with its youth making all possible efforts to help the poor section of society in particular .
He also said that association of hundreds of new members into organization in a single day is just the beginning and we feel proud to say that BJYM has its representation in entire Jammu Kashmir and it played an active and progressive part in social and political development of Jammu Kashmir. Forty five days long Yuva Jodo Sankalp Abhiyan will be taken to each district and down to every village of Jammu Kashmir to ensure the grass root level strengthening of the BJP and to make it more vocal and local, he added.
