JAMMU, Nov 10: Famous broadcaster and national award winning writer, Brij Nath Pandit Betab has been awarded Sharf-e-Maraz Award by Maraz Adbi Sangam, the representative literary organization of South Kashmir.
Awards were given at a function at Government Women’s College Anantnag during the annual conference of Maraz Adbi Sangam in which prominent writers from across the Valley, civil society members and students of the college participated.
These awards were announced after the general body gave its approval to the recommendations of the Five-member Award Committee. Accordingly, this year’s Sharf-e-Maraz Award was bestowed on renowned broadcaster and award-winning writer Brij Nath Pandit Betab.
Senior writer and Sahitya Akademi Awardee S Razi was conferred with Shan-e-Maraz Award while young writer Ashraf Rav received Shah Para Maraaz award 2023 for his book of critical analysis “Gona Saevi Gonmath” . “Manka Moti”, a poetry collection written by Chaudhary Sharifuddin Qamar in Gojri language, was selected for Shama Maraaz 2023.
