KALAKOTE, Nov 2: Ashok Sharma former legislator and senior Congress leader has demanded creation of a new district at Kalakote constituency, sub divisions at Chingus and Taryath and setting up of more Tehsils, Niabats and other administrative units to ensure speedy socio economic development of this remote and far-flung area in Kalakote constituency.
Sharma who is on nine-day extensive tour of Kalakote constituency of Rajouri district was addressing Congress activists at Chingus, Kaller and Taryath today.
He also urged for extending a rail link to Rajouri and Poonch districts via Kalakote in a time bound manner harnessing the vast tourism potential of Kalakote constituency and other tourist areas of border district of Rajouri and Poonch for generating employment opportunities for the youth.
Besides him Ram Parkash, Noor Hussain , M Y Mughal, Kashmir Singh, Rattan Lal and Shakti Kumar and others also addressed the meetings.
