Sharma for early redressal of farmers’ grievances

JAMMU, Jan 28: Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kissan, R. S. Sharma today reviewed the implementation of various schemes aimed at improving the economic condition of the farmer community.
Chairing the meeting attended by Director Floriculture, Director Horticulture (P&M), Director Sericulture and Director Fisheries and other officers of these departments, the Vice Chairman sought a detailed account of the impact of various schemes in Jammu division. .
The officers informed the V-C about the activities of their respective department towards the benefit of the farmers. He was also apprised about the State and Central schemes being implemented by their departments in Jammu region.
Vice Chairman impressed upon the officers to make every effort to redress the grievances of the common farmers. He advised the officers that more and more awareness camps should be held in every nook and corner of Jammu region so that the farmers get acquainted about the schemes aiming at the development and growth of rural economy.
Mr. Sharma also directed the officers to invite the State and District Advisory Board members at the awareness camps to be held by their departments.
