Sharma reviews functioning of Dharmarth Trust temples

SRINAGAR, July 24: Secretary J&K Dharmarth Trust, Ashok Kumar Sharma, (SSP Retired) here today undertook a visit to various temples in Srinagar that fall under the purview of Dharmarth Trust.
He assessed the functioning of these temples and interacted with the staff and priests to ensure seamless support for the visiting pilgrims.
Accompanied by Trust officials, the Secretary toured several temples including Kheer Bhawani, Ganderbal; Shankaracharya Temple, Srinagar and Shiv Gauri Temple, Pahalgam to get firsthand understanding of their functioning.
He emphasized on the significance of providing every possible help to the visiting devotees to these temples, ensuring a smooth and enriching experience for them.
Sharma particularly stressed on the importance of strictly adherence to the duties by the staff and priests, with special attention to hygiene in the temple premises. He directed the personnel to maintain sanctity and cleanliness of the sacred spaces, in line with Trust’s commitment to uphold the highest standards.
The Secretary said that the Trust is committed to promote and safeguard the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of the Union Territory.
“The Trust, through its various initiatives, endeavours to provide an enriching spiritual experience to the pilgrims and devotees who visit the sacred temples,” he maintained.
