AKHNOOR, Dec 11: BJP leader and Member of District Development Council (DDC) Jammu, Pandit Suresh Sharma started the work of blacktopping on the roads of Targah village of Balgara Panchayat and Jagwal village of Maira Mandrain Panchayat of Chhamb Assembly Constituency.
The blacktopping work was a long pending demand of the people of the area.
Addressing the people, Suresh Sharma said that earlier blacktopping on roads of Barola, Targah, Nardi-Bala, Godan, Kufi-Godan, Kathar etc was done and now many more roads will be covered in coming days as tendering process has been completed.
He said that he is making efforts for the betterment and progress of the area so that people can get all the basic facilities.
On this occasion BDC Maira Mandrain, Sushma Devi; AE Som Raj, JE Rakesh Kumar, Panch Nitesh Kumar, Mandal secretary, Sukhdev Raj, Vijay Kumar, Sundar Dass, Krishan Dutt, Satpaul, Khemraj, Balwant Singh, Sobha Ram, Ravi Kumar and other were also present.
