AKHNOOR, Oct 8: Senior BJP leader and District Development Councillor, Pandit Suresh Sharma here today started blacktopping work of Charyai Road in Panchayat Kanedi, Block Chowki Choura falling under Chhamb Assembly segment.
Speaking on the occasion, the Councillor assured the locals of the area that all villages of Chowki Choura and Maira Mandrian Blocks which do not have proper road connectivity will soon be linked with Pakka roads.
He further said that in near future, a number of mega road construction works will be started and completed in a time frame manner.
“There will be no compromise on the quality of material to be used,” Sharma maintained adding: “PM Modi led Government at Centre is consistently working on many road projects in J&K and every area will have a facelift.”
“We are making all efforts to ensure that no Panchayat is left from being included in Centre’s prestigious projects of sufficient road connectivity,” he continued.
The Councillor further said that many welfare schemes launched by PM Modi are reaching doorsteps of the poor and needy families.
BJP mandal president, B.D Sharma; Sarpanch Ashu Sharma; Naib Sarpanch Satpaul; Panch Baba Kali; Panch Sanjay Kumar; Panch Vijay Kumar; Deepak Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Engineers of the department and a large number of locals were also present on this occasion.
