SOPORE,  Nov 30: President  `Jammu Kashmir Bachao Tehreek’ and former minister,  Abdul Gani Vakil today termed the engagement process undertaken by Centre’s special representative Dineshwar Sharma as directionless and a futile exercise.
Addressing public meeting at  Nowpora Kalan in Rafiabad today,  Vakil  while hitting out at the Centre for adopting directionless approach said that  Delhi’s representative Dineshwar Sharma is talking to very smaller groups not known to people even for name sake and bureaucrats which is not a proper way of resolving long pending political conflict like Kashmir issue.
He asked New Delhi to stop experimenting failed experiments in the past as many people like Dineshwar Sharma were sent by previous regime to Kashmir for addressing the grievances of the people but all the Dineshwar Sharma like previous engagements failed to restore peace and political stability in the State. He said without resumption of dialogue with Pakistan and engagement with the separatist leadership no dialogue initiative would restore peace and political stability in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
Vakil accused NC president Dr Farooq Abdullah of provoking communal forces to create more troubles in Kashmir by throwing up a challenge to hoist an Indian Flag at Lal Chowk in Srinagar and declaring Pakistan Administered Kashmir (PoK) a part of Pakistan Vakil said Farooq Abdullah is trying to provoke communal forces and play with the sentiments of Kashmiri people just for bringing back his party National Conference into power.
Declaring that gone are the days when people were being hoodwinked by Abdullah’s for boosting the rule of his party in the State,  Vakil appealed people of the country belonging to different shades of opinion not to get provoked by Farooq Abdullah’s statement as provocations would prove disastrous for peace and political stability in the State.
