Sharnarthi Forum demands relaxation in age to youth

JAMMU, June 9: All J&K PoJK 1947 Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum convened a meeting of its Core Committee members under the presidentship of Adv Amrik Singh which was also addressed by Surjit Singh its general secretary.
The Forum urged the Lt Governor of J&K UT, G C Murmu for relaxation of age limits for educated unemployed youth from the present 32 years to 37 years as it was already announced by the erstwhile and present Government keeping in view of peak militancy prevailing since 1989 and the youth were mostly sufferers of the turmoil.
The Forum reiterated that due to continuity of peak militancy in the erstwhile State now UT, the unemployed youths were deprived of getting the job opportunity and on the other hand mostly the Jammu province youth were badly discriminated by past Kashmir centric dominated Government. The Forum elaborated that excluding the age limit is not the only fault of unemployed youths but it is the result of militancy prevailing since 1989.
The Forum appealed the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Bank to reschedule their advertisement with relaxation of age limits from 32 years to 37 years and subsequently from 35 years to 37 years for clerical staff.
