JAMMU, July 26: All J&K1947 PoJK Sharnarthi Intellectual Forum Core Committee met here, today under the chairmanship of Amrik Singh along with other office bearer of the Forum.
The Forum discussed the Union Government’s proposed representation bill tabled in the Parliament for reservation of one Assembly seat for PoJK 1947 DPs.
The Forum expressed its categorical dissatisfied over this proposed bill and reiterated that the total population of PoJK displaced persons at this time has crossed to 15 lac and moreover 17 Assembly constituencies in Jammu division are having the PoJK Sharnarthees as decisive votes.
The Forum expressed its reservation over this and resolved that only one seat for PoJK displaced persons can not fulfil the long pending demand of representation because over 17 lac voters only one seat is simply an eye wash.
The Forum urged the Prime Minister, Narinder Modi and Union Government to rethink over this bill and at least six to eight seats be got nominated in J&K Legislative Assembly for the PoJK displaced persons.
It further recalled that their already 24 seats of PoJK displaced persons are being got reserved since long.

Sudan retd Grp.Captain, Avtar Singh Member DGPC Jammu, Sucha Singh corporator, Manohar Lal, Daljit Singh, Khazan Singh Sub. (retd) Mohinder Singh, Avtar Singh ex Pilot and others.
