JAMMU, Nov 10: President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC), Subhash Shastri today stressed for immediate release of pending installment of 10% DA of State Government employees due from July this year.
Addressing a workers’ meet here today Shastri said there should not be any hitch for the State Government to delay the release more when other States have already released the same since long.
He appealed Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to announce the same installment of DA to its employees and pensioners at the next Cabinet meeting so that salaried class and pensioners heave a sigh of relief in view of increasing prices of essential commodities.
Shastri also appealed Central Government for early merger of 50% DA into basic pay and pension of its employees and pensioners with retrospective effect.
